It's official. You the people have spoken & made me Hot 97 Boston's "Rising Star" winner for last week! I will be returning tomorrow morning (03.11.10) and a new competitor will take on "Fly Away" and attempt to take my crown.

But I have WAY too many supporters to let that happen.

Here's what I need YOU to do.

1.) Tune into to 87.7FM or log on to http://hot97boston.com to listen between 8-9 am.
2.) When "The Breakfast Club" opens up the hotline, CALL 617.333.9755.
3.) When the DJ answers the phone, VOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL SHOW/"FLY AWAY". You can vote between 1-10, but 10's are most appreciated (lol).
**(They will also ask you to vote for the competitor from 1-10. This is necessary to make your vote for me count)**
4.) Repeat #3
5.) SPREAD THE WORD!!!!

The lines close at 3 pm tomorrow.

We will know next wednesday if I am the winner for this week. I have no doubt you all will come through for me again!

The "SO SO SHOW" Campaign: "FOREVER" The Mixtape

I was very humbled when the homie DJ DRU NYCE (http://www.facebook.com/djdrunyce)- who is also a So So Def representative- asked me to host his mixtape called "FOREVER".  

Released on January 28th,  this mixtape has had thousands of downloads, and has been featured on prominent hip-hop music sites. I definitely started my year off right.

A few things in 2010 that have kept me busy so far...

The OVERLOOK Mixtape (released 01.01.10) featured my songs "Prudential State of Mind" and "Fly Away".

The UNITY Fundraiser event on 01.20.10. brought together almost 1,000 people to raise money for the victims of the deadly earthquake in Haiti. And I performed for them all.

The L.O.V.E.S. group at Pine Manor College asked me to headline their Black History Month concert. Let's just say "Prudential" made history in the arena that night. (Photo Album/Video not yet posted)

The same night, after the Pine Manor event, I shut down Club Venu right before the "Ether Boy", Ron Browz (of "Pop Champagne", "Jumpin' Out The Window" & "Arab Money" fame)

On 02.11.10 (a.k.a. my birthday!), I competed in the fourth installment of the Boston Talent Showcase. I came in second place; but I wasn't upset. The  person who won? One of my very talented background singers- who I show a lot of love to on this site- April Stanford. We keep it in the family, lol.

 Last but not least, I was on the same bill as a talented hip-hop/rock band by the name of Pfeva at Sammy's Patio. Due to my "international" acclaim, me and the band fit right in.
